News and Current Events
On Friday, May 10, 2024, our members gathered at the Omaha Marriott to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of our professional organization. Cindy Hadsell, Past President of the Douglas County Historical Society Board, was our honored guest speaker.
We proudly presented plaques to three businesses for their membership since 1924: founding members JP Cooke and Chicago Lumber, and charter member Watkins Concrete Block, who joined a few months later. Currently, OEA boasts 89 primary members, 11 associate members, and 5 Emeritus members. OEA has been thriving for over a century!
